In the IPL match no. 54, Mumbai Indians won the toss and chose
to field first. Royal Challengers Bangalore got off to a shaky start as they
lost their captain Virat Kohli and Anuj Rawat early in the innings. However,
Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell came together to form a partnership that would
help them recover from the early setbacks.

Du Plessis played a solid innings of 65 off 41 balls, while Maxwell was the aggressor, smashing 68 runs off just 33 balls. Their partnership of 120 runs came in just 67 balls and helped RCB post a competitive total of 199 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs.

In response, Mumbai Indians got off to a great start as their opener Ishan Kishan smashed 42 runs off just 21 balls. However, he was dismissed in the fourth over, which brought Suryakumar Yadav to the crease. Yadav played an outstanding innings of 83 off just 35 balls, hitting 11 fours and three sixes.

Yadav received excellent support from young Nehal Wadhera, who remained unbeaten on 52 off just 34 balls, and together they helped Mumbai Indians chase down the target of 200 with 21 balls to spare. The duo put on a partnership of 140 runs for the second wicket, which effectively sealed the match in Mumbai Indians’ favour.

Overall, it was a fantastic performance from Mumbai Indians, who showed their batting depth and chased down a challenging target with ease. On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bangalore would be disappointed with their bowling performance and will need to regroup and come back stronger in the upcoming matches.
