Team India’s 15 Members Squad
With ICC T20I World Cup being less than a month away, Team India has announced their 15-member squad for the tournament.
This year, the tournament will be held in Australia. Rohit Sharma will lead team India in the Tournament with KL Rahul as his deputy.
Team India will be looking to move on & forget about their poor performance in the recently concluded Asia Cup. They could not make it to the final, losing the crucial match to Pakistan & Sri Lanka.
Team India will be going with a positive mindset in the tournament. They will leave no stone un-turn to win the Trophy.
With the kind of quality & Top-class players in the squad, team India is my personal favorite for the Trophy this year.
Rohit Sharma has all the leadership skills and with Virat Kohli back in form, Team India is now not looking back & the T20i World Cup Trophy is very much in the radar of team India.
Top Order : Rohit Sharma & KL Rahul.
Middle order: Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda.
Wicket-keeper: Rishabh Pant, Dinesh Karthik.
All-rounder: Hardik Pandya & Axar Patel.
Spinner : R Ashwin & Yuzvendra Chahal.
Pace attack: Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel & Arshdeep Singh.
Reserves: Players: Mohammad Shami, Shreyas Iyer, Ravi Bishnoi & Deepak Chahar.
The team looks pretty much solid in terms of batting on paper. With Hardik & Kartik as a finisher, do expect lots of power-hitting during the slog overs.
Fast bowling is one area that is a bit of concern. Yes J. Bumrah & Harshal are back in the squad but it would very interesting whether M. Shami gets to play a couple of games or not.
Also one should not forget that India’s Star all-rounder & Great Fielder Ravinder Jadeja is out of the tournament due to injury. It is his fielding that will be missed by Team India.
R.Jadeja is a great asset to the team. Good fielding and a couple of run-outs during close matches can change the entire course of the game as also seen in the past.
